Competition Shipping

Thank you for your interest in the US Amateur Home Winemaking Competition!
Shipping your wine for the competition is fairly simple via either FedEx or UPS. The majority of shipments received for the competition are by UPS Ground and most of the rest are by FedEx. Our understanding is that the USPS will not ship alcohol. There are other shippers, for example GLS, that we have no experience with.

The shipping address is:
John Daume 22836 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA, 91364

It is probably best not to mention alcohol to your shipping company as that will likely lead to confusion and delay. We certainly get our share of “juice” and “yeast” samples sent to us that turn out to be wine entries.
CA is a receiving state. Noncommercial, homemade wines that conform to the US Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) Code: 27CFR24.75 are legal to ship. This is an amateur wine competition and we have been receiving homemade wine entries for over four decades without any trouble.

If you’re looking for insulators for your wines if you dont have wine shipping boxes, the consider this:

We hope this helps and let me know if you have any further questions. We look forward to judging your wines!
