Meet Cellarmasters

Our Winemaking club is the oldest club in existence on the West Coast, possibly the United States. John Daume started the club in 1973 as a way to bring amateur winemakers together to share ideas, advice, and their home made wines! We have taught winemakers to make wine for 50 years.

The winemaking club is for amateur vintners of all levels. The club is based out of the Wine, Beer, and Cheesemaking shop in Woodland Hills, which is very convenient for members to purchase supplies and order grapes. The address is 22836 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91364. 818-884-8586 Hours are 11am-7pm. The Cellarmasters of LA meet in the shop clubhouse on the first Thursday evening of every month. Each meeting has a themed potluck and an informational meeting topic or seminar posted on the website, Facebook, and the Cellarmasters LA MeetUp APP.

Cellarmasters hosts a yearly U.S. Amateur Wine Competition that provides excellent feedback to those who enter, and is the longest running competition. They also host winemaker dinners, a Wine Walk of Downtown Los Angeles Wineries, a Holiday Cellarbration, and so much more.
